This painting is inspired by my own personal journey of growth and expansion and the beauty that comes with change. Each phase of the butterfly’s transformation is depicted in the painting: a young and hungry caterpillar, a chrysalis melting down its previous form, and several colorful butterflies in their full beautiful state. Growth and change come at the price of losing your old form, but in turn you can become something more intense and beautiful.
Painting and frame together are 31” x 54”, painted on panel and a wooden frame with acrylic paints.
