This piece started as a study for a larger upcoming piece, but as I got into it I realized how much I loved working with the randomness and bright variety of colors that wildflowers bring to the table. An element of whimsy that only wildflowers can achieve. It’s an immediate mood lifter and reminds me of the times my dad would take me hiking or horseback riding through the mountains to see the wildflower fields.
